About
Babak is a Lecturer in Marketing at University of Durham. Babak is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Strathclyde Business School. He was previously Teaching Fellow in Tourism and Marketing at the University of Strathclyde. Babak’s qualifications include a PhD in Marketing from University of Strathclyde, MRes in Management Science from University of Strathclyde, PGD in Research Methods from University of Strathclyde, MSc in Information Systems Analysis from Glasgow Caledonian University and Industrial Engineering (Systems Analysis & Planning) Azad University, South Tehran Branch.
His main research interests are in the areas of consumer behaviour, experiential marketing, arts and heritage marketing and management as well as the application of multivariate methods to consumer & marketing research (e.g., SEM, PLS) and mixed methods. He has presented the results of his research in many international conferences in the area of marketing, heritage/tourism marketing, and consumer research. Babak has published in Tourism Management, Consumption Markets and Culture, Advances in Consumer Research and European Advances in Consumer Research.
Babak is a member of the Association for Consumer Research and Academy of Marketing and has been a regular reviewer for ACR conferences and journals e.g. Tourism Management and Journal of Customer Behaviour.
